QRW’s Editorial Calendar

N O W   I N   O U R   3 3 R D   Y E A R   O F   P U B L I S H I N G

Note: In nearly every issue, QRW covers major wine stories in California, France, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Spain and Portugal, along with detailed tasting notes. QRW is the only wine magazine that does not rate wines numerically. We do not believe that wine can be rated with numerical specificity. Please further note: editorial is subject to change without notice.

Autumn 2009

If Autumn comes, can Bordeaux and Burgundy, be far behind? How well have the 2005 Bordeaux progresses after two years in bottle? We find out as 25 of three major Growths are blind tasted. How are the 2006 “futures” doing? We have a feature on them as well with a Blind Tasting of the Major Growths by David Peppercorn, Master of Wine. Summer 2010

After the Winter Holiday issue, Summer is surely one of the most popular issues. The reason is California. Here, we publish our 25th Annual Best of The Best in California, The Red Wine Issue, continuing the editorial we started in the previous issue. These tastings focus on the great California reds: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Meritage/Red Blends. The tastings are all blind, and by invitation only. It takes QRW tasters six months to complete, tasting more than 975 wines.

  • The Smaller Napa Valley Wineries to Watch, Eleanor and Ray Heald
